Marek is a trainer specializing in business culture of South Asia. He was the Consul General of Republic of Poland in Mumbai. Member of many Polish Ministerial Missions to Nigeria, India, Bangladesh,Burma,Iran, Saudi Arabia etc.
Dr Marek Moroń
He specializes in the subjects of South Asia: economic, cultural political and historical issues. He graduated from High School in Dhaka (Bangladesh). He is lecturer and researcher at the Center of Comparative Studies of Civilisations at the Jagiellonian University. He was the Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Mumbai from 2001 to 2007. Earlier for many years he worked in Polish missions in Calcutta and Tehran. He also lived for one year in Bahrain.
Since 2004 he is fellow at the K.R.Cama Oriental Institute in Mumbai. 2008-2013 he wasa visiting professorat the Chair of European Islam at the University of Warsaw. Marek is an author of a number of books and publications on the subject of nationhood, nationalities and identities in South Asia as well as on history of Indo - Polish relations.
He has vast and long experienceof conducting projects and negotiations on behalf of Polish companies with state owned and private companies in India and China. Marek was chief negotiator in establishing one of the first China-Polish manfacturing joint ventures in An Huei province. In Turkey he was involed in industrial and mining projects, in Iran - mining projects and others. Member of many PolishMinisterial Missionsto Nigeria, India, Bangladesh,Burma,Iran, Saudi Arabia etc.
He initiated, coorganised and took part in many academic events in Bosnia, Qatar, Jordan and Poland on promoting knowledge on European Islam and history of Polish relations with Islam. He wrote also a numer of publications on those subjects.
